    3. Ma moitié

    English translations of this term usually refer to the better half of a partner and understand the expression as a loving “best friend”. Friend and romantic partners alike can benefit from this.

    4. Avoir un cœur d’artichaut

    Essentially, this phrase means “easily or often falling in love,” and can refer to anyone!

    5. Mon cœur bat la chamade

    The language of love has a good reason to be called so! As a poetic expression, this depicts the excitement and anticipation of seeing someone close to you.

    There is an archaic meaning for the word “la chamade”, which is “a trumpet of signal inviting the enemy to parley”.
